Train to be an emergency medical technician (EMT) at the Langdon Prairie Health EMT certification course. EMTs are valued, entry-level healthcare providers who serve their communities in a variety of medical situations that range from responding to emergency calls to transporting patients between healthcare facilities. As an EMT, you could work at public or private organizations like hospitals, care centers, ambulance companies, recreation facilities, search and rescue squads, law enforcement, fire departments and more.
The EMT certification program starts June 13 and meets twice weekly.
Mondays and Thursdays: 6 p.m.-10 p.m. until October 1, 2022.
Classes are held at Langdon Prairie Hospital. Clinical hours are with the Langdon Ambulance and Langdon Prairie Health hospital and emergency department.
Enrollment and tuition
- Students must be at least 18 years old and able to attend all classes.
- Course cost: $1000. The Cavalier Job Development Authority will reimburse the $1,000 course fee to the first eight students who apply and successfully complete the course and become employed as an EMT. Learn more about course fee reimbursement below.
- Course fee covers tuition fees and first round of testing for the National Registry (NREMT).
Course fee reimbursement
The Cavalier Job Development Authority (JDA) has grant funds to provide full tuition reimbursements to eight students. Grant dollars are distributed on a first come basis. Take advantage of this incredible opportunity to start a rewarding career as an EMT.
