A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) is one way Langdon Prairie Health can improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve. By examining the leading causes of illness, injury, disability, and death, we can determine our communities’ biggest health needs and put together an action plan to meet them.
Federal laws for not-for-profit hospitals require LPH to conduct a community health needs assessment every three years; the assessment follows specific guidelines, and its findings are reported as part of our corporate tax filings with the IRS.
