Megan Overby has been a valued provider at Langdon Prairie Health since 2019, bringing expertise, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With extensive experience across a variety of healthcare settings, Megan is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients of all ages in the Langdon community.
Megan earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, in 2018, where she focused her doctoral project on implementing depression screening during adolescent sports physicals. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota, graduating cum laude in 2012.
Megan’s clinical expertise spans family practice, women’s health, mental health, pediatrics, ADHD management, dermatology, and diabetes management. She is particularly passionate about providing holistic care for children and adolescents, emphasizing well-child visits, developmental screenings, and managing chronic conditions like ADHD. Prior to joining Langdon Prairie Health, Megan practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner with Altru Health Systems, where she provided comprehensive primary care to diverse patient populations. Additionally, she has served in emergency, medical-surgical, and cardiac rehabilitation units as a registered nurse at Cavalier County Memorial Hospital.
Megan’s dedication to healthcare extends beyond her clinical practice. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the University of Mary Servant Leadership Award and UND Student Nurse of the Year. A member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, she exemplifies excellence in her field.
Megan holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Care. Her commitment to rural healthcare is demonstrated through her continuous focus on holistic, patient-centered care and her involvement in health promotion initiatives within the Langdon community.
Dr. Meagan Overby and her husband, Justin, have four children. In her spare time, she and her family enjoy camping, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
