Housekeeper, FT - The Langdon Prairie Health housekeeper provides a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff by providing housekeeping services. The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning tasks and maintaining patient rooms, exam rooms, offices, common areas, lobbies, restrooms, and any other areas in a sanitary manner that prevents the spread of infection and odors. Required tasks may involve potential exposures to blood borne pathogens or other potential infectious materials or communicable illnesses/diseases. Personal protective devices will be supplied by LPH.
Manages and directs the organization toward its primary objectives. Establishes current and long-range objectives, plans and policies, subject to the approval by the Governing Body. Dispenses advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies and Governing Body approval. Oversees the adequacy and soundness of the organization's financial structure. Reviews operating results of the organization, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results. Represents the organization with major customers, stakeholders, the financial community, and the public.
Phlebotomist FT - WILLING TO TRAIN.
Properly identifies the patient. Collects and prepares laboratory specimens such as urine, blood and sputum from patients.
Labels all specimens with patient name, medical records number, date of birth, and date and time of collection.
Determines the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient. Transports all samples to the laboratory. Maintains the phlebotomy draw areas, keeping them clean, well-stocked and organized.
Practices infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment. Consults with the ordering provider and/or the clinical laboratory director when necessary to clarify unusual test orders.
MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN PHLEBOTOMY. Plans priorities of work to be completed each day. Checks validity and accuracy of test results obtained by laboratory personnel.
Performs various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Keeps records pertaining to tests performed and charts test results to ensure that variation in test results and standards are within acceptable quality control ranges.
Gives instruction to new workers in procedures and techniques of performing tests. May direct and train students of laboratory science.
